

Born June 24, 1960 in Cumberland County, NC, he was the son of Elmer D. Parker and Janice Faye Beasley McAuley Parker and was an auto mechanic for heavy machinery.
Gerald loved spoiling his granddaughters and working on classic muscle cars.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Renee Parker.
Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his parents, are his loving wife of 33 years, Charon Norris Parker; son, Jerald Alan Parker of Hickory, NC; daughter, Kristyn Rene Parker of Newton, NC; brother, Elmer Wayne Parker and wife, Treasure of Olivia, NC; sister, Jennifer Parker-Klein and husband, Stephen of Charlotte, NC; two granddaughters, Cheynne Webb and Laci Webb; grandfather, Charles S. Beasley, Sr., of Charlotte, NC; stepmother, Peggy Parker; stepfather, Troy McAuley, and his loving in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of long-time friends.
A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Plateau United Methodist Church, 3315 Scronce Rd., Vale, NC 28168. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Joseph Norris, Stephen Klein, Dave Beasley, Eddie Parker, Harold Orders and Chris Norris will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Plateau United Methodist Church.
