

Hazel Deitz Robinson, age 90, passed into her loving Father’s arms on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Carillon Assisted Living in Newton, NC. Born March 23, 1926 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Claude Koplan and Grace Lois Bolick Deitz.
She was a very active member of St. Paul’s Reformed Church in Newton. Hazel was an avid seamstress who loved flowers and gardening. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Paul Robinson Jr.;
infant son, Dennis Paul Robinson; an infant daughter; sisters, Cathryne Arrowood, Ruth Arrowood, Peggy Greene; and brother Glenn Deitz.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Terry Robinson and wife, Wanda of Vale; daughter, Glenda Mathis and husband, Hank of Conover; granddaughters, Stephanie Frye and husband, Warren of Hickory, Kelly Isenhower and husband, Brad of Conover; great-grandchildren, Larren Frye of Huntersville, Greyson Frye of Hickory, Kelsey and Nicholas Isenhower of Conover; sisters-in-law, Irene Deitz, Geraldine Bumgarner and Louise Finger.
The family would like to thank the staff at Carillon Assisted Living and Catawba Valley Hospice for their kind and loving care of their mother.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at St. Paul’s Reformed Church with Rev. Dr. Keith Brown officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Memorial Park.
