Javaughn Edwin Propst

Born November 13, 1997 in Catawba County, he was the son of Randall Glenn Propst and Crystal LeSean Bolick.

Javaughn was a rising senior at Maiden High School. He was active in sports, where he was the wide receiver on the varsity football team and ran the 4x1 relay, 100m, & 200 meter dash on the track team.

He was a cashier at BoJangles and always greeted his customers with a smile.

Javaughn was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Guy Propst.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Randall Glenn Propst and stepmother, Tina Propst; mother, Crystal LeSean Bolick; brother; Janniah Propst; sisters, Brittany Bolick, Kelsea Bolick, Chrisha Bolick; stepsister, Antaijah Easter; maternal grandmother, Vera Bolick, paternal grandmother, Louise Propst; maternal great-grandparents, Glenn Bolick and Kathleen Bolick; step-grandparents, Larry Easter and Carolyn Easter; uncles, Larry Ramsuer, Doug Propst, Richard Propst, Tim Portor; aunts, Sissy Moore, LaSonya (BaBa) Propst, Nicole Propst; great aunt, Ann Ramsuer; special aunt, Amber Bolick; special aunt and uncle, Paul and Benita Solomon; 2 nieces, Liyah Bolick, Londyn Bolick; 2 nephews, Darius Bolick, Major Bolick; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A service to celebrate Javaughn’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Monday, June 22, 2015 in the Chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton, with Pastor Jacqueline Elliott officiating.

The family will receive friends and family following the service at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maiden High School, Javaughn Propst Memorial Fund, 600 W. Maiden St., Maiden, NC 28650.

The family wishes to raise awareness to other youth who are struggling with mental health needs to recognize that help is available and there is hope for recovery.
