

Born March 26, 1972, Julie was a probation/parole officer for the State of North Carolina, assigned to Catawba County. She was the daughter of Donald L. Hollar, Sr., and the late Emily Howard Price Stamey.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Marvelle Price.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Kyle Smith and her dearly beloved daughter, Gracie Ingle of Newton; father, Donald L. Hollar and wife, Martha of Claremont; brothers, Donald L. Hollar, Jr., and wife, Wendy of Hickory, John Stamey of Lincolnton; sister, Leah Stamey, of Lincolnton; stepfather, Randy Stamey of Lincolnton; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Ann Smith of Walnut Cove; nephews, Justin and Jesse Hollar of Hickory; extended family, Leslie Yount, David Crouse, Linda O’Bannon; and childhood friend, Tara Smith.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Grace Reformed United Church of Christ in Newton, with Pastor Fred Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery in Newton.
J. Kyle Smith, Donald L. Hollar, Jr., William H. Smith, Chadwick D. Smith, John R. Stamey, and David N. Crouse will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Willis-Reynolds Home in Newton.
