Lawrence Olan Jewell

Born September 16, 1945 in Walden, VT, he was the son of the late William H. Jewell and Martha McCarty Jewell and was employed with Neill Grading for 32 years. He served in the National Guard for 10 years.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his nephew, Jonathan Jewell.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Miss Kitty Jewell of the home; daughters, Martha Barnes and husband, Timothy of Maiden, Colleen Jewell of Maiden; brothers, Ashley Jewell and wife, Karen of West Virginia, David Jewell and wife, Sally of Vermont, Edward Jewell and wife, Elaine of Vermont; sister, Betty Hale of Maiden; grandchildren, Catherine Barnes, Chanda Barnes, Chanteil Barnes, Cody Broyles, Natasha Brown; great grandchildren, Hayleigh Humphries, Olivia Shinn, Carson Barnes, Timothy Barnes; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a visitation of family and friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton.
