Born July 26, 1976 in Catawba County, he was the son of Harold Parks and Cheryl West.
Michael served in the United States Army for 6 years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his former wife, Lucinda Parks; daughters, Leah Parks, Brittany Parks, Paige Parks; half-brother, Ricky West, Jr.; and half-sister, Bridget West.
The graveside service with full military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Salisbury VA Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
