William "Bill" Dendy Bishop

Born November 17, 1946, in Greer, SC, he was the son of the late John Dendy Bishop and Virginia Babb Bishop.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Navy and served 2 tours in Vietnam. After his service in the Navy, he worked for Duke Energy as maintenance supervisor. He retired from Duke Energy after 31 years. He was an avid model builder.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Loretta Bishop Baldwin.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 45 years, Elizabeth “Beth” Barker Bishop, of the home; daughter, Christy Berry and husband Phillip, of Maiden; granddaughter, Savannah Elizabeth Berry of Maiden; and a number of cousins in Greer, SC.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Denver with Rev. Tony Matthews and Rev. Gary Fulker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
