Jimmy was born in Washington Heights, NY where he lived until the age of 16 when he moved to Bergenfield, NJ. He graduated from Bergenfield High School and began a career as a carpet installer. Jimmy most recently worked for Local #2112 and previously owned his own carpet installation company.
Jimmy was an active member of the Lake Tranquility Community Club and enjoyed fishing on the lake and spending time with his “lake family”. He was an avid fan of New York sports teams, especially the Jets, Mets and Rangers. Most of all, Jimmy cherished the time spent with his family and was particularly fond of his new title of Grandpa.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Barbara (Tracy) Albert; and his brother-in-law, Andy Stanley. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret "Peggy" Albert; his daughter, Nikki (Albert) Neary and husband, Jack; his son, Craig Albert; his grandson, Wyatt Neary; his brother, William Albert, and his sisters, Barbara (Albert) Stanley and Joan Marie (Albert) O'Neill and her husband, Jamie and his many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 2 pm on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church of Newton, 111 Ryerson Ave, Newton, NJ, followed by a memorial service at 2 pm.
