On January 14, 2025, after a valiant fight, our beloved mother, Patricia Ruffino (Nystrand) got her wings and went to walk with the angels. Pat, as she was known, was born in Dover, NJ and raised in Newton, NJ and lived most of her 81 year creating a home for her family, She is survived by her sons, Anthony and Dominic (Jessica) and three daughters, Jackie (Steve), Lisa (Ricci) and Tricia; along with nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pat is predeceased by her parents Vincent and Elizabeth Nystrand, and her husband Anthony T. Ruffino who passed away in 1995. Her beloved companion, Vincent Coniglione, predeceased her in August of 2020.
Pat knew what mattered most and held her loved ones very close. She will be remembered by so many as a wonderful, loving mother, a caring and trusted friend, and a nurturing and doting Nanny to her grandchildren. Her sweet, simple, loving nature was reflected in everything she did. She was the heart and soul of her family, feeding everyone with her delicious meals and providing a warm welcome spot at her crowded table. Those who were blessed to know her will cherish their memories of a kind and generous woman, who always made time for them. She loved spending time with friends and family, cooking and crocheting. Pat will be remembered and sorely missed.
To honor our mother’s wishes there will be no service at this time, however a celebration of life will be held in the spring, her favorite time of the year.
