Rita Christine Waleski

Born in Jersey City on December 29, 1941, Rita spent her earlier years in Bayonne before moving to Morristown where she lived most of her life as a devoted homemaker, mother, and wife to the late Stanley R. Waleski.

In her spare time, Rita enjoyed reading and found great comfort in the companionship of her beloved cats who brought her much joy. She was a familiar face at the local Senior Center, where she spent many happy hours playing bingo and card games with friends.

Rita is survived by her children, Raymond Waleski (Peggy); KC Ramsey, and Lisa Jackson (Terry); her grandchildren Terry Jackson Jr., Trey Waleski, Terrell Jackson, Dane Waleski, Karlie Jackson, and Ian Waleski; her great-grandchildren Tyrie Jackson, Eddie McMickel, and Dennis Lopez; her brother Joseph Kuleszynski; and her nephew Joseph Kuleszynski.

Rita was preceded in death by her beloved husband Stanley R. Waleski; her grandchild Dejeune Lopez; and her parents Joseph and Harriet Kuleszynski.

A memorial visitation for Rita will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 3pm to 7pm at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ 07860. Rita will be laid to rest at Holy Rood Cemetery, 61 Whippany Rd in Morristown on Thursday, August 29 at 11am.
