In his early years, Ronald was a mechanic and worked at Phillips 66 Garage in Jefferson. He later was the owner/operator of A-1 Paving in Newton for 20 years. After retiring from paving, Ronald was a firearms dealer in Pennsylvania and was an avid enthusiast and collector of guns.
Ronald was a lifetime member of the NRA and was also a former member of Mt. Pocono Gun Club. Although he was not a member of a church, Ronald believed in God and always spent time in prayer. He often said, “You don’t have to go to church to pray”. Ronald will be terribly missed by his family.
The son of the late Clarence and Goldie Misner, Ronald was also predeceased by a stepson, Bobby, in 1994, and a daughter, Rose Bennet, in 2019; three sisters, Joyce Giancola, Pat Reyes and Yolanda DeGroat; as well as four brothers, Bobby, Gary, Richard and Ernie.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie; a son, Tony; two daughters, Julia Yando of Lafayette and Roni Wright of Fredon; and a half-brother, Danny Giancola of Hampton. He is survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services are private and are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton.
