Stephen A. DeBellis

Stephen was born on April 3, 1949 in Jersey City to the late Vito and Carmela (Cannito) DeBellis. He grew up in Jersey City and lived in Lyndhurst for many years before moving to Sussex County in 1978. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a lineman for Verizon. Steve was a Volunteer Fireman for Stillwater Fire Department and West End Fire Department for many years. During his free time, he enjoyed making trinkets on his workbench and loved to ride his motorcycle.

The beloved husband of Cathy DeBellis, Stephen is survived by his children, Andrea Wehrenberg and her husband Robert, Stephen DeBellis, Jr. and his wife Brenda and Brandon DeBellis and his wife Christina; his step-son, Shawn Moran and his wife Heather; his siblings, Frank DeBellis and his wife Francine, Ginny Tokar and her husband John, Vito DeBellis and his wife Kathy and Paul DeBellis and his wife Patty; his grandchildren, Tasha and her husband Stephen, Tyler, Anthony, Aurora, Hailey, Keegan, Brendan, Mykaylah, Sophia and Fiona and his great-grandchild, Reese. Along with his parents, Stephen is predeceased by his wife, Regina DeBellis; his son, John DeBellis; his stepson, Kyle Moran; his sister, Dawn Ann Pettaway and his grandson, Alexander Moran.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Stillwater Cemetery. A repast to follow at Stillwater Firehouse, 929 Stillwater Road, Newton NJ 07860.
