Brendan Kevin Dowd

DOWD, Brendan 'Kevin' - Passed away after a brief illness on Saturday December 21, 2024 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 70. Beloved and cherished husband of the late Deborrah (nee Caughill, 2014). Loving brother of Harold (Frances) Dowd, Mike (Carolyn) Dowd, Brian Dowd, Sheila (Frank) Higgins, Ron (late Caroline) Brown and brother-in-law of Jean Dowd, Kathleen (Leroy) Collee, Mary (Paul) Collee and Lawrence (Monica Chambers) Caughill. Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his special niece Cassidy (Jesse) Hylkema and their children Everleigh and Jamieson, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly missed by his buddy Mickey the dog. Predeceased by his parents William and Ann (nee Haslam) Dowd, parents in-law Orville and Jane Caughill, brothers Gerald Dowd, Desmond (Bernadette) Dowd and Terry Dowd. Kevin was a remarkable person in every way. He was patient which made him a wonderful teacher, he was kind, humble, giving and a hard worker. He would do anything for anyone, because he just loved to love others. His favourite pastimes included cracking jokes and fishing with his best friend Larry. The world has truly lost someone special, but now he is joined with the love of his life Deborrah. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday December 28, 2024 at 12 pm at St. Patrick's Church. Cremation will follow with the Rite of Committal at a later date at Fairview Cemetery.
