Passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the age of 80. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, William (Bill) McCumber. Carol is cherished by her children: Rose (Scott), John, Anita, and David (Stephanie). Her siblings Eleanor, John, Doug, Norma, and Muriel. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Sherri, Stephanie, Kaylynn, James, Morgan, and Michael, along with five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol dedicated many years to her work as a chambermaid and waitress. She had a deep passion for gardening and an enduring love for her animals. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the doctors and nurses who provided care for Carol, as well as to her best friend of 40 years, Debbie Manley.
A visitation for Carol will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, (5176 Victoria Ave, Niagara Falls, ON.) followed by a funeral service held at the funeral home at 7:30 PM. An interment will be arranged at Verulam Cemetery. Donations in Carols honour can be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
