Charles "John" Hull

Passed away peacefully at Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie on Monday, August 19, 2013 in his 90th year. Loving husband of the late Margaret “Judy” Hull (2010) for 64 years. Beloved father of Linda Hardy, grandfather of Janice Kertesz & husband Louis, Chris Hardy & wife Andrea, great grandfather of Samuel, Charlotte, Brianna, & Taylor. Brother of Mary “Babs” Elizabeth Morrison & husband Derek of Australia. Dear uncle to Robert Ratcliffe and Jane Lockyer. Father of Nicholas Hull. Fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. John served as a Navigator with the Royal Air Force throughout the 1940s, was a supervisor at a gold mine in Ghana before moving to Canada in 1957 where he pursued a career in Real Estate. John was the musical director of the York Minstrels Choral Society for 25 years, owned race horses, and was a member of the Agincourt Lawn Bowling Club. He and his family moved to Niagara Falls in the early 1990’s where he worked for various Law Offices, retiring at 87 years of age.

Family and friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Thursday evening from 7 -9 PM for a memorial visitation. A private interment service will be held at Fairview Mausoleum. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Niagara Falls Humane Society would be appreciated.
