Daniel 'Dan' Morrison

MORRISON, Daniel E., Dan - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends at Bella Senior Care Residence on Tuesday August 19, 2014 at the age of 88. Dan was the beloved husband of the late Leonore (Lee) Morrison (1998) and dearly loved father of Debra (John) Kennedy, Reverend Father Craig E. Morrison, O.Carm., and Laurie Morrison. He was also cherished grandfather of Amanda and Megan Kennedy. Dan was predeceased by his sister Margaret Howard and his brothers Jack, Joseph, and Ken Morrison. Dan loved living in Niagara Falls. Countless visitors, and especially his extended family and friends, enjoyed his warm hospitality when visiting this wonder of the world. Dan was an active member of the community and will be remembered for his service to the poor through the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Community Kitchen. Dan loved animals, especially cats and dogs. He always left the house with a few treats in his pocket for the furry four-legged friends he might encounter throughout the day. Friends and family are invited to call at the Chapel at Mount Carmel Spiritual Centre, 7020 Stanley Avenue. Visitation will take place Sunday between 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Mount Carmel Chapel on Monday at 12:30 p.m. Cremation will follow with interment at a later date in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers his family would appreciate memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul at St. Patrick's Church or the Community Kitchen.
