Darlene Willick

It is with great sorrow we announce Darlene’s peacefully passing away at home surrounded by her loving family and close friends on Monday May 21, 2012 after a courageous and length battle. Loving wife of the late Greg Willick(1984). Devoted mother of Jennifer Potestio(Dion) and Jeremy Willick. Cherished Nan of Annalea and Katelyn Potestio, and Gram Willick. Sadly missed by her sisters Cheryl Cutts (Wally) and Brenda Gelineau(Rich). Survived by her mother-in-law Audrey Willick. Much loved “Auntie Darlenie” to Charlyn. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and by Sharon & Jim Duford, and Carol & Don Ede. Darlene was a longtime and active member of the Chippawa Lioness Club, and the Village of Chippawa Citizen’s Committee. She will be remembered for being the family historian, and her kind, giving, dedicated and compassionate nature.

In accordance with Darlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls on Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM, where a prayer vigil is being held at 3:30 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 3882 Main Street, (Chippawa)Niagara Falls on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10:30 AM. A private interment in Fairview Cemetery will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations to Wellspring Niagara – Stevensville would be appreciated.
