Born in 1941, in the Province of Kwang-tung, China, David arrived in Canada in 1954 making Niagara Falls, Ontario his permanent home. He made numerous friends along the way including his loyal customers at the Jade Garden restaurant where he served as co-owner along with his father, Jack and his uncle Chick, connecting him to the community with his business sense. He enjoyed his morning coffee at Tim Hortons with Penny and spending time on his boat fishing with Tammy on weekends. He loved vacationing in sunny destinations with his late wife and daughter on March breaks. He was close to his grandfather Frank, sharing many good times together. His greatest gift was his love of family and his passion to keep those bonds connected. He often celebrated special events by inviting all the relatives to the Mandarin restaurant. David would ask, “Did you have enough to eat? There’s plenty, eat more.” He was always making sure everyone was happy and satisfied and that brought him joy.
David’s memory will forever be etched upon our hearts.
