Doris Matson

Peacefully passed away on September 25th at Millennium Trail Manor in her 94th year with her family at her side. Predeceased by her loving husband William A. Matson (1993). Survived by her children; William Sydney (Heather) Matson, Dorothy (Michael) Morgan, Robert Alexander (Lynn) Matson, David (Jen) Matson, Marilyn (Richard) Woodruff and her two sisters, Mildred Mann and Irene (Wilf) Jones. Doris will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Sharon, Heather, Bill (Lesley), Shawn (Rose), David, Colleen (Peter), Joanne (Bill), Robert (Terri), Christine (Ron), Dana, Jonathan, Mark (Renee), Jeff (Chantal), and her many great-grandchildren. As a longtime member of the Kitchener Street United Church Doris served in the Scouts and Women’s Auxiliary. She also enjoyed 50 wonderful years at the family cottage at Sand Lake.

The family will receive visitors at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls on Wednesday September 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Lundy’s Lane United Church, 5825 Lowell Avenue, Niagara Falls on Thursday September 29th at 11:00a.m. with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Millennium Trail Manor for their love, care, and compassion. She loved all of you.
