GIBSON, Dorothy Elizabeth (nee Burr) - Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 1st, 2014 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Beverly (1986). Loving mother to Jeff (Bernie), Marty, Glenn (Joanne), Chris (Marlene), Tracy (Lori) and Pam (Brian) Graham. Cherished Grammee to Tracy-Lynn (Tyler) Mason, Lionel (Sarah) Gibson, Phillip (Vanessa) Gibson, Kevin Gibson, Danielle (Amy) Cook, Ashley (C.J.) Butler, Melissa (Brad) McKay and Nana to Brian Graham and Krystal Graham. Great-Grammee to Jovvi Jackalyn Mason, Patrick Gibson and Liam Edison Cook. Dorothy is predeceased by her sister Mary McCrie (2007) and survived by her sisters Catharine Burr Lorraine (John) Kiefer, brothers- in- law Bill McCrie, Ian Brewer, Frank Cote, sister-in-law Norma Gibson, aunt Dot Hand and nephew Jack Burr. Also survived by many more nieces nephews. Dorothy was born in Point Edward, Ontario on August 18th, 1933 and moved to Niagara Falls in 1949 with her parents and 2 of her 3 sisters. She spent many years working as a cashier for Loblaws, A P and Dominion before retiring. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Funeral Service in celebration of her life will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Mrs. Gibson donations to the One Foundation ( G.N.G.H. site) would be appreciated by her family.
