Passed away on Sunday October 10, 2010 in his 91st year at the Greater Niagara General Hospital with his daughter at his side. Doug was the beloved husband for 66 yrs of the late Lil Cornall (nee Dymott) 2007. He was the loving father of Donna Gibson (John) He leaves 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He served 6 years in the Canadian Army as a linesman in Canada and overseas. He was an auto mechanic for Niagara Parks Commission for 26 years. He will be missed especially by his yellow lab Sadie.
Doug is resting at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday October 12th from 7-9p.m. and Wednesday October 13th from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m.Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday October 14th at 11:00a.m. with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Donations to the Niagara Falls Humane Society or The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
