Peacefully at Eventide Home on November 15, 2011 in her 92nd year with her son, Francis by her side. Predeceased by her husbands Simon (1975), and Robert (2004). Evelyn will be sadly missed by her son Francis (Sandra) Layton and her grandchildren Nicole, Steven and Shayne. Evelyn was a 20 year volunteer with Big Brothers and Big Sisters in Niagara Falls and a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She knitted love into the hearts of many by donating hats, mittens and scarves to the Church. In keeping with Evelyn’s wishes cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service at Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
