Our deepest condolences to Linda, Craig and the rest of the family. Uncle Fred always treated us with such warmth and kindness. He was a great human being and he is greatly missed. Fair winds and following seas.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Uncle Fred was such a kind man; when speaking to him, I always got the impression that he took a genuine interest in the conversation and truly cared about those around him.

Fred was my Dad’s lifelong best friend. He was also one of my closest friends. I will fondly remember when Fred would tell all the stories of their adventures and every once in a while he would slip in a new one. On our last visit together he was in great spirits and joking that being 96 was not was not as great as it is made out to be. I will miss him but I am sure the two of them will be back to visiting all the Legions together in heaven.

Fred's passing has left us with a heavy heart. We fondly remember our time with him. Moments that include chainsaws , saunas and cold beer immediately  come to mind He was certainly one of the good guys and his loss is felt deeply. Our thoughts are with Craig, Linda, and their families. May Fred rest in peace, and his memory bring comfort to all of us.

Linda, Craig and families, sending our deepest sympathies on the passing of your dear father. Fred was an amazing father, grandfather, greatgrand-dad. I have many wonderful memories of him thru the years. Especially, when Fred and June would come to the pizzeria, once a week faithfully, the evening would not end unless i had to play the guitar for them. Simple, memorable times. May his soul Rest in Peace.

I find it hard to think of this world without my Mr. Martin’s smiling face. That smile spread from the top of his head to the tips of his toes. His warmth and kindness glowed. He will be missed but his goodness with be with us always.  Love Milly

     We were Blessed to have Fred as our neighbour for over 20 yrs.  We are saddened for your loss and it’s a loss for us as well cause Fred was like family. We have many memories that we will keep forever in our hearts and are grateful to have been blessed by knowing Fred.  Family was his number one  and he was a proud man. He missed  his Dear June very much and they are now reunited .

To the Martin family:  Fred and I had known each other for over 55 years, both working at CN Rail.  We immediately became very close friends on the job and after we both retired we reconnected at the CN Pensioners Assoc. meetings where he volunteered as Vice President of our Local Council for a few years.
Everyone who worked with Fred loved  him for his dedication to his job and fellow workers. He was a wonderful man to work with and we will miss him dearly at our CNPA monthly meetings.   It was an honour to know Fred, and to  his family, on behalf of all of us in the Niagara Falls Local Council of CN Pensioners and myself I wish to extend our most sincere condolences. I think the child in me believed he would live forever, and he almost did. Uncle Fred radiated positivity and love, always kind and supportive. Everyone who met him felt like the most important person in the world because he listened closely and always said something to let you know he cared. Howie and Fred can once again sit in the kitchen in Silvertown and talk about the CNR, laughing about the great gang of people they worked with “all the live long day”. Say hello to Mom and Aunt June for me. With Love Always.
