Gaetano "Guy" Nero

Beloved husband of the late Maria Nero. Dear father of RoseMarie Nero (David McDonald), Tony Nero and the late Rita Goldfinch. Loving Nonno of Matthew Nero (Beth), Alex Nero, Adam Nero, Melissa McDonald, Michael McDonald, Clarissa Johnstone (Connor), and the late James Goldfinch. Great Nonno of Grayson and Sophie Nero. Dear brother of Rosaria (the late Benito) Aurora, Raffaele (the late Mario) Vescio, Diamante (the late Fiore ) Roperti, Florence (Domenic) Nero, and brother-in-law of Italia Nero and Nicola Vaccaro. Mr. Nero is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Rosa Nero, his sister Maria Vaccaro and brother Frank Nero.

Guy was born in Conflenti, Italy and immigrated to Canada at 21 years old. He worked at Gerbers and Redpath until his retirement. Guy enjoyed working in his garden through the years and loved when his grandchildren came to visit.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 2-4 pm at Patterson Funeral Home, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls. A Funeral Liturgy will be held in the Chapel at the funeral home on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 11 a.m. Private entombment at Fairview Mausoleum to follow. If desired, memorial donations made to the Alzheimer Society - Niagara Chapter would be appreciated by the family.
