DI GIOACCHINO, Giovanni 'John' - Passed away quietly, courageously, and on his own terms at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of 57 years to Ida (D'Amico) Di Gioacchino. Loving father of Carlo Di Gioacchino (Lorraine Bortolussi) and Bruno (Dianne) Di Gioacchino. Cherished nonno of Martina, Vanessa, Danielle and Patrick. Dear brother-in-law to Maddalena Di Gioacchino, Maria D'Amico, Maria (Antonio) Cecchini, Filomena D'Amico, Santina D'Amico and Carmela D'Amico Marcozzi. Dear zio to Dr. Pasquale Di Gioacchino and special cousin to Alberto D'Amico and Rosina Faragalli. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St., for visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be celebrated Thursday at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Scapular Church.
