RICCI, Giovanni 'Papa John' - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Wednesday January 14, 2015 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of 48 years to Lucy (Finella) Ricci. Loving and devoted father of Pat (Irene) Ricci and Lee-Ann (Carmen) Lucisano. Cherished 'Papa John' and 'Nonno' of Selena and Matteo Ricci, Cristina and Daniela Lucisano. Dear brother of Antonio (Michelina) Ricci and brother-in-law of Joe (Carole) Finella and Theresa (Nick) Lucia. Dearly loved 'Uncle John' of Frank, Donna, Nick, Teofilo, Libera and Maria. Sadly missed by his cousins Rosario and Vito Barone. Predeceased by his parents Teofilo and Libera (neé Fiscarelli) Ricci. Mr. Ricci's greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a passion for gardening and winemaking and enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labour with family and friends. He was also a longtime, devout parishioner of Our Lady of the Scapular Church and a member of Club Italia. Family and friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Saturday 7-9 p.m. Sunday 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be celebrated Sunday at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Scapular Church.
