Giuseppe Caruso

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Lucia Caruso. Dear father of Domenic (Stephanie) Caruso and Frank (Lisa) Caruso. Cherished Nonno of Nicholas, Nadia, Olivia, Samantha (Thomas), Daniela, and Joseph. He was also a Nonno to three great- grandchildren Leon, Levi and Angelina. Predeceased by his parents Domenico and Francesca Caruso. Dear brother to the late Francesco (Rosina) Caruso, Tony (Barbara) Caruso, Cathy (Domenic) Giampa, the late Anna (Tommaso) Conidi, John (Maria) Caruso and Angelo Caruso. Also, brother to the late Francesca (the late Antonio) Caruso and Carmela (the late Giovanni) Caruso and Brother-in-law to Giovanni (Anna) and Antonio Gugliotta of Italy. Loving Zio to many nephews and nieces in Niagara Falls and Italy.

Giuseppe was born in Filadelfia, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1968. He worked for Star Masonry and then Steed and Evans until his retirement. Giuseppe lived his life to the fullest for his children and grandchildren. His face always lit up when he saw his grandkids walk through the door. He loved telling them stories from his life and watching them laugh. Giuseppe had a passion for working in his garden and he loved sharing with everyone the fruits from his fig tree. Having company always meant sharing a glass of his homemade wine and his favourite saying was always “Let’s do a Grappa”. He never hesitated to lend anyone a helping hand. Giuseppe was a wonderful person with a huge heart. He will be greatly missed and will live on in our hearts forever.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm at Patterson Funeral Home, 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 4673 Victoria Avenue, on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Rite of committal will follow in Fairview Mausoleum. As expressions of sympathy, those who wish may also make a memorial donation to Heart Niagara.
