Gordon Joseph Wood

WOOD, Gordon Joseph - Passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday April 17, 2025 at the age of 98. Beloved husband of 75 years to Mary (nee Charkow). Cherished father of Gord (Anne) Wood Jr., Bonnie (Bill) Nowastawsky, Dan (Michelle) Wood and Jamie Wood (Pam Tulley). Loving grandfather of Pamela (Brian) Miltenburg, Brad (Francesca) Wood, Brandon (Alana) Wood, Kristopher Nowastawsky, Sean Nowastawsky, Kyle Wood and Danielle Wood. Devoted great-grandfather of Braeden Briar, Malakhi, Brody, Austin and Alwyn.  He will lovingly remembered by his brother-in-law Paul (Marian) Charkow as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Emily (nee Brant) Wood and sisters Edna and Gladys. Gordon was the 1927 Niagara Falls New Years baby as he was born on January 1,1927. He owned and operated Michael's Inn Tours until his retirement in 1988. He was loyal, hard working and had a great sense of humour. He and his wife enjoyed their winter vacationing in Florida for many years. Above all, he adored his family. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Friday April 25, 2025 from 7 to 9 pm. A service will take place on Saturday April 26,  2025 at 1 pm at Patterson Funeral Home. In memory of Gordon, memorial contributions may be made to the CNIB Foundation, and would be appreciated.
