It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Dee, following a valiant struggle with many health complications on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, in her 50th year, surrounded by loved ones. She is the beloved daughter of Nancy and Lorne Bailey. Loving sister of Christine (James) Nagy and Kevin (Tammy) Bailey. Proud and cherished aunt of her pride and joy, her nephews Michael, Robert, Troy, and John. She will be lovingly remembered by her uncle Dave Canham and cousins: Cindy, Cheryl, Andrew, Laurie, and Jen; and her chosen family Helen (Soup Lady) and Nancy (Big Bird) Hicks. Survived by her aunt Brenda (Michael) Loccoco and her cousin Eric.
Dee loved a good jigsaw puzzle, her previous trips to Myrtle Beach and SHOPPING!! If there was a bargain to be found, she would find it.
A special thank you to Judy and Patricia, Dee’s PSW’s, as well as the nursing team with CCAC for their care through the years. So much appreciation and gratitude for Dr. Syed Masood, Jessica, Alex and the team in ICU at GNGH for the exceptional care of Dee and our family. And lastly, our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Tittley at Hamilton General Hospital for his expert care and friendship through the years.
In keeping with Dee’s wishes, cremation has taken place and was entrusted to Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel. There will be no formal services. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. at Scottlea Gospel Chapel; 500 Scott Street, St. Catharines, Ontario.
