It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ingrid at the age 88 at GNGH, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, October 22, 2022. She is now reunited with her loving husband Lou (2019). Proud mother of Michael Herrmann (Laura) and Eric Herrmann (Nancy). Dear Oma of Alyssa (Bobby), Paul (Ashley), Curtis, Justin and Calista. She is survived by her brother Manfried in Germany. She will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends.
Ingrid will be remembered for her love of reading. She was a long time member of the Niagara Falls Public Library Book Club. Ingrid looked forward to attending and volunteering at the annual Niagara Falls Book Riot. Ingrid was a dedicated volunteer for many decades with The Women's Auxiliary at GNGH.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Cindy, Carol, Mary, Dana, Mike, Joanne, Sid, Carl, and Bev for all of their help in taking care of our Oma, especially during Covid. A thank you to all of those who provided loving company and care for her over the past few years.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Canadian Children's Literacy Foundation would be appreciated.
