Irene Lillian Henderson

With gratitude for her long life, the family of Irene Lillian Henderson CPhA (nee McNally) anounce her death on Thursday August 14, 2014, eight days before her one hundredth birthday.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas Ronald Henderson (2001). Loving mother of Andrew Henderson and his wife Mary Anne, and Sally Lewis. Loved grandmother of David Henderson, Jennifer Semplonius (Gary), Laura Frees (Derek) and Jeffrey Lewis, Julie Lewis-Marquet (Danny) and James Lewis. Loved great grandmother of Stephanie and Emily Semplonius and Ava Lillian Frees. Predeceased by her beloved sisters Marie Durdan, Jean Wade and Ruth Cameron and her dear brothers Bert and Jack McNally. Aunt Irene will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Irene was a Pharmacist in Niagara for many years most notably in her father's drugstores. She was a lifelong member of Morrison Street United Church and the Niagara Falls General Hospital Women's Auxiliary.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel of HETHERINGTON AND DEANS, 5176 Victoria Ave. on Saturday August 23, 2014, at 10 AM with a Service of Remembrance to follow at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate In Memoriam contributions to the Hon. Ray and Helen Lawson Eventide Home. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of Eventide Home for the care and comfort given to Irene.
