Jacob Dietrick Janzen

Born in Reesor, Ontario January 7th, 1931, passed away at his home in Queenston, Ontario on August 25th, 2014 with his family by his side. Survived by his sons Douglas, (the late Kevin Janzen August 24, 2021) and Daughter Karin Marynissen, his sister Anne Nelson of Niagara Falls, NY and grandchildren, the late Danielle Janzen (March 19, 2021) of Barrie, Ontario. & Melissa (nee Marynissen) of Niagara-On-The-Lake, and great-grandson Nicholas Alexander Janzen of Barrie Ontario, all who are very sad that such a fine and caring man has died. Jacob is predeceased by his parents Dietrich and Agnes (nee Lowen) Janzen, and his brothers Nick & Verner Janzen & sisters Vera Klassen & Dorothy Nidvicki.

Jacob retired early after working 35 yrs at the Norton Company in Chippawa Ontario and spent the next 30 years enjoying his life and being his own boss!

In keeping with Jacob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Jacob was laid to rest at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery in Niagara Falls on September 13, 2021 as well as his former wife, Patricia Ballodis of St. Davids, Ontario and their son, Kevin Janzen of Port Colborne, Ontario were laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Niagara Falls. Jake and Pat are survived by their daughter, Karin and their eldest son, Douglas, (Kevin’s sister and brother). Also sadly on March 19th, 2021 Danielle Janzen died at Barrie Ontario. She is survived by her son, Nicholas and her parents Toni and Douglas.
