I think of Aunt Flo and Uncle Jim and the many good times we had with them and my 3 cousins Brad, Bruce and Brian.  My favourite with Aunt Flo was her wink to me at a family event when someone said something outrageous.  With Uncle Jim it was our golf game at Murray Hills with Mom and the thunderstorm and Mom deciding to call it quits and go home to prepare dinner and Uncle Jim and I waited it out and the sun came out and we finished the round in spite him almost losing his powered cart which started down a hill on its own and toward a cliff. Brad Bruce and Brian - It's a testament to your mom and dad that they are so fondly remembered by all your cousins. There are so many good memories. Allen and Malcolm covered many of them but I remember the big booming voice of your dad and his love of the movie Casablanca. I picture my extremely huggable Aunt Flo - always with a smile - but ready to keep your dad in line if he needed it. It was always a pleasure to be around them both. I remember playing basketball with you guys, for hours, in your driveway or cannonballing into the pool with the dog. Skinny dipping when we thought no one was around.

Dear Brad, Bruce and Brian and your families:

My thoughts are with you during this difficult time and I share in your loss.  I would have liked to have been there for the service on Saturday and was thinking of you while returning from Europe.   I will miss Uncle Jim and remember a lifetime of family get togethers, including most recently, last year's Harry Picnic, Aunt Mary's 90th birthday party and a visit to Uncle Jim's residence in November.   Going farther back, there were many family get togethers in Toronto, Niagara Falls, Frankford and Gananoque.    Uncle Jim and Aunt Flo hosted many memorable family events in the Falls, often involving the pool. They were great hosts and I can taste Uncle Jim's roast beef cooked on the BBQ.  In 1987, I stayed overnight with Uncle Jim and Aunt Flo... to get back to Toronto, Uncle Jim and I flew in a small plane with a friend of his to Toronto Island airport.                                                                      We treasure the memories of both Uncle Jim and Aunt Flo.

We are very fortunate to have had the time to know you, spend time with you and Grandma Flo, we have made very fond memories along the way and are now filled with happiness in the thoughts that we are celebrating your life. Rest in Peace. (Hope the clubhouse is spectacular!)

Just wanted to let you know that Uncle Jim will be sorely missed by us.  The last time we saw and visited was Mom's birthday and the time before that we enjoyed a visit from him in the summer at the lake.  There are some really great memories of him and your Mom.  Hope we can sometime get together and reminisce. Take care and know we are thinking of you all.

To the Macpherson family- The entire Buckley family shares your grief today for Jim.  After having so recently lost our own father/relative/friend (Gordon Buckley), we know the pain of your loss.  We are remembering events of the Police Association that involved both our family and yours and the periodic mention of Jim's name as we were growing up.
