

After a long and healthy life filled with loving family and friends, Jim died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, September 24, 2011 in his 97th year. He was predeceased by his wife and high school sweetheart of 54 years, Bernice (nee Hodgins 1995) and by his brother Glen of Toronto (1999).
Loving father of daughters Barbara Milne (Gary), Marilyn Campbell (Jim), Anne Milne (James) and son, Glen Milne (Maureen), and grandchildren, Xarissa, Gabriel, Tara (Dave), Tyler (Leeann), Ryann Anne, and great-granddaughter Tatum. He will be sadly missed by his dear friend Phyllis Bowen. He is also survived by his brother Jack (Margaret) Milne of Guelph.
Jim was well regarded throughout his life for his exceptional athletic skills in football, baseball, golf and curling. He worked as a chemical engineer at Cyanamid North America for 31 years and enjoyed a second career as a stockbroker. His interests included astronomy, Latin, science, and poetry. His recitals of Burns and other classics will be missed at our family gatherings.
Visitation will be held at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL 5176 Victoria Avenue Niagara Falls, Tuesday September 27th from, 2-4 p.m. and 7- 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday September 28th at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at McAffee Cemetery in Fort Erie. Donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family
