On Sunday August 28, 2011, James (Jimmy) Mulligan, husband of the late Beverly McMenamin. Beloved father of Shauna Mulligan, dear brother of Bunny Austin, Rosemary Newe, Joan Collins (Al), Maureen Tustin (Garth) and Brian (Marcella) Mulligan. Jim was predeceased by sisters Ann and Eileen and brothers Bobbie, John and Eddie. Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Jim was retired from Ontario Hydro, Hennepin Council of the Knights of Columbus, an active sportsman and played basketball and baseball in the city. Jim graduated from Notre Dame and is on their sports Wall of Fame as well as the Wall of Fame of the City of Niagara Falls.
Resting at the funeral chapel of Hetherington and Deans where friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 on Wednesday. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday September 1, 2011 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
