John Brenisin

Peacefully passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 surrounded by the love of his family at the age of 91. Beloved and devoted husband and best friend to Arlene (nee Ryan) for 67 years. Loving Dad to Leslie (Gary) Dungey, Mary-Ellen (Luc) Veilleux and Terrance Brenisin. Cherished Grandpa of Tarryn (Dave), Darcy (Val), Aimee (Al), Krysta (Kevin), Lindsay (Heidi); and several great-grandchildren. John is also survived by his two brothers in law: Ted (Bev) Ryan and Paul (Joan) Ryan.

John was employed for many years with the Ford Motor Company before his retirement years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his games with the “Happy Gang”. He cherished his time up north at the family cottage creating memories with his family that he held on to forever. He could also be found completing jigsaw puzzles while listening to music in his spare time.

Family and friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5175 Victoria Ave. on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. when a Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations made to Project Share or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
