John Devlin

DEVLIN, John - Passed away peacefully at Pioneer Elder Care, St. Catharines on Wednesday February 22, 2017 at the age of 89.  Beloved husband of the late Cecile Spater (2003).  Dear father of Karen Miller, Brian Devlin, Barry (Mala) Devlin and Bruce (Nancy) Devlin.  Grandfather of Kailey (Gavin Dalla Costa), Kara, Alex, Eric and Monica.  He will be missed by his sisters Mary (the late Hugh) Maloney and Patricia (the late Danny) Chastko.  Predeceased by his brother Frank (Mary) Devlin.  Dear friend of Marilyn Pedley.  John was born in Ireland and came to Canada with his parents Patrick and Catherine (neé McCluskey).   His family and friends will remember his love of the challenge of the outdoors.  He continued to bike, skate and hike well into his eighties, only slowing down when his heart did.  Cremation has taken place.  A private family service will take place at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St.  Online condolences at www.pattersonfuneralhome.com
