John "Jack" Stevenson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father Jack Stevenson on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in his 94th year. He is now reunited with our mother Hazel. Sadly missed by his daughters Kathy Lowe (the late Ed Lowe) and Elaine Andrews (Gary Roach), and by his granddaughter Carly Andrews (James Parkhill). He is survived by his sister-in-law Shirley Lamb (Bob Lamb), and by his nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Christina Stevenson. Jack was a veteran of WW II serving with the R.C.E.M.E, and a skilled machinist whose services were employed over the years at Burgess Battery, Canadian Ohio Brass, and Niagara Precision Ltd. He was the recipient of the Order of Niagara, a member and greeter at Christ Church, long time President of the Chi Rho Fellowship, and a member of the Friends of Stamford Village.

Family and friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 1 – 3 & 6 – 8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church Anglican, 4750 Zimmerman Avenue on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Christ Church would be appreciated.
