Josephine Piazza

PIAZZA, Josephine - Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Friday January 24, 2025 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Calogero (1976) and cherished mother of Sam (Gail), Frank. Loving grandmother of Maria, Diana (Chris), Charles (Carla), Alessandra (Cory) and great-grandmother of Ava, Scott, Charlie, Avery, Lucio, Mila. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Maria (Charlie) DiBartolo, brother Peter Bevilacqua (Julie Mai), brother-in-law Stefano Lombardo, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Francesco and Paola (nee Alaimo) Bevilacqua, brothers Frank (Ida) Bevilacqua, Salvatore (Gina) Bevilacqua, Giovanni (Rosa) Bevilacqua, and sister Rosa Lombardo. The family wishes to thank the staff of Eventide Home for their wonderful care of Josephine. A special acknowledgement to her best friend at Eventide, Shirley, for making Josephine truly feel at home. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Wednesday January 29, 2025 from 11 to 1 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 pm at Our Lady of the Scapular Church, with the Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
