Leo Gingras

GINGRAS, Léo Henri - Passed away peacefully at Meadows of Dorchester on Saturday February 11, 2017 at the age of 87.  Beloved husband of the late Diana (Desjardins) Gingras (2001).  Dearly loved father of Irène (Don) Dicks, Henri (Nancy) Gingras and Pauline (Claude) Kirouac.  Cherished grandfather of Rachel and Nicole Gingras of B.C.  Loving brother of Jean-Guy (Ghislaine), Gérard (Pierrette), Madeleine (Florient) L'écuyer and Hélène (Rhéal) Renaud.  He will be sadly missed by his close friends, especially Marie Pouliot and her family.  He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Godfroy and Marie-Jeanne (Legros) and three sisters Laurette, Yvette and Denise.  Léo was born in Ste-Cécile-de-Masham, QC.  A heartfelt thank you to Dr. R. Collins and staff of Meadows for the exceptional care provided to Léo.  The Walk of Honour for Léo's farewell held by the wonderful residents and staff was appreciated by his family.  Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  A Funeral Service will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 am at the funeral home.  The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  In memory of Mr. Gingras, donations to The ONE Foundation (Walker Family Cancer Centre) would be appreciated by his family.  Online condolences at www.pattersonfuneralhome.com
