Margaret Joan Evans Utting

Unexpectedly at Brockville General Hospital on Saturday, June 28th, 2014 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Robert A. Utting (2005). Dear mother of Holly Montgomery (late Alan) of Aylmer, ON, Heather Stronach (James) of Ottawa, ON and Timothy Utting (Elinor) of Brockville, ON. Cherished grandmother and great-grandmother of Carrie, David, Ben, Olivia, Sam and Jill Theissler; Jeffrey, Sherry Wood, Chelsea and Shawn Montgomery and Britlee Wood; Andrew, Julie, Avery and Ethan Stronach; Matthew Stronach and Chrissi Lecompte; Douglas Utting; Sarah Utting. Also survived by several nieces , nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her son Douglas Utting (1985) and her parents Gordon and Sarah (Sid) Evans.

Joan was born in Midland, ON April 3, 1924. With her husband she travelled extensively and lived in The Bahamas, Hong Kong, London England and the United States as well as numerous Canadian locations. Supporting Bob in his banking career she was a consummate hostess. As her family grew, she nurtured strong bonds taking great pride and joy in all their many accomplishments.

The family will receive visitors at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls, ON on Friday July 4th, 2014 from 9:30-11:00am with the funeral beginning at 11:00am and interment to follow at Fairview cemetery.
