Marion Sloane Williamson

Williamson, Marion (nee Fraser) - Born May 14, 1919, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at Millennium Trail Manor, on January 1st, 2014. Marion was a devoted and loving wife to Roy Williamson for the past 70yrs. Marion was the proud mother of Diane Lowe (nee Williamson) (David Donat) and grandmother to Heather Lowe (Hartley Gibb). Marion was a true family woman and put her commitment to family far before herself. Predeceased by her brother Ian Fraser (Audrey), and her brother-in law Jack Williamson (Mary). Marion was also the loved Aunt, and Great Aunt to many niece's, and nephew's and will be greatly missed by them all.

Marion's full life was spent working within the community at Fraser's Grocery for 43yrs alongside her parents, and husband, where she was known to spoil the neighbourhood kids with treats from the candy counter, and travelling to far off lands where she was always sure to fulfill her favourite past time of shopping with an excursion or 2.

Anyone that knew Marion found her to be a woman of great loyalty, compassion, generosity, and humour. Never through life or illness did Marion waiver from her determination and will to overcome obstacles. She and her family received so much hope and strength from family, friends, and the staff at the Millennium Trail who continually buoyed her spirits with love, laughter, and support.

Family and Friends may call at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel,5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls on Friday, January 3, 2014 for visitation from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 1 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2014. At the request of the family, and in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
