I was greatly saddened by my sister in law Mary's passing. Mary was a wonderful person with a very kind disposition. I remember her very well when she lived in Memphis and missed her and my niece Mandy and Nephews Robbie and Chris when moved to Canada. We can be thankful that her grief over Chris's passing has finally ended and rejoice that she has reunited with Chris in Heaven.  May God rest her soul in eternal peace.

I have many fond memories growing up with the Sowell family which led into adult hood. Mary was always so kind to me and treated me as one of her own at times. My heart goes out to Mandy, Rob, and of course her friends and fellow family members. I have no doubt the first thing she did in the after laugh was give her youngest Chris the biggest hug imaginable. She will be greatly missed. Sending all my love to the Sowel family. I am so sorry for the loss of your mother, sister, aunt and friend.  I remember the good times in your mom's backyard (Aunt Lucy to me), at the picnic table under the grapevine enjoying good food with extended family.  Mary was always so kind to my brother and I, she was a sweet woman.

Mary did not just have casual  friends but was  blessed with good  friends throughout her life. 
She loved everyone and never saw  a fault  in anyone’s character. 
This could sometimes be detrimental ,  but this was Mary’s kind soul. I did not once  hear her say anything bad about anyone or indulge in any  gossip. Always ready to smile with her simple sense of humour which she inherited from our Mom. 
A loving lady with so much faith.

Mary, my heart is broken, I am having a hard time processing it.  You were a wonderful person, kind and compassionate, who loved her children unconditionally, for your demonstrated faith in God, I couldn’t have asked for a better Mom to my children. I prayed for you, Mandy and Robby everyday, I promise to take care of Robby and Mandy for the rest of my life. Praying for Robby, Mandy, Anna, Tony, Debbie, Aaron and family.

I am so saddened at the passing of my Aunt Mary. Although her and my Uncle have been divorced for years she will always be my Aunt. I remember when she moved to Memphis from Canada and I thought she was so pretty. She was as beautiful inside as outside and the kindest person. She had such a warm, friendly personality and made friends easily. She always seemed happy to see me and made me feel loved. I am praying for my cousins Robby and Mandy along with Mary's siblings and families. She was simply a wonderful person and will be missed.

My dear friend Mary, you have been my friend throughout most of my life, and I will miss you always.  My heart knew your heart well and I know the heavy sadness that you felt because of your loss of Christopher weighed on you night and day for the past 5 and a half years. I know that you are in Heaven and reunited with your son and are with our Lord.  For that, I feel joy for you.  But your sweet soul will be missed here so much.  Sweet friend, I love you always and I pray we will meet again.  

My aunt shocked all of us. The doctors, nurses, hospital staff and all of our family. She gave us several extra months we didn’t think we would have. Aunt Mary loved family more than anything and in this whole experience she succeeded in having family time again every weekend as we went to Hamilton with my Dad, Auntie Anna and Debbie, Roxy and our boys. In a way it was nice. I’m not the best in those situations so I’d joke with her and she’d laugh 🙂. What a beautiful, stubborn, genuine, strong willed, loving Aunt who treated me like a son my whole life. I’ll see her up there one day. Until then, rest easy.  ❤️
