I had known Meron since she was a little girl. I was good friends with her parents. Since moving to Vancouver, I have been out of touch. I just learned of her passing. I am so sorry for family and friends left behind, but I know she is in the loving arms of her mom and dad. Meron was a unique woman who was so much like her dad. Intelligent, creative and outspoken.
David was very proud of his daughter”s accomplishments and her determination in her battle with MS. She was such a lovely person and a joy to be in her presence. Enjoy your next adventure, Meron

In 2 days it will have been 5 years since Meron's passing. It took me this long to bring myself to write in the guest book. Meron was more than a friend, she became part of my family, my sister. I still think of her all the time. I'm always reminded of her. So many songs remind me of her, so many topics of conversation, catch phrases, items I come across that I have that belonged to her, when I see (or use) bad grammar, I hear her correcting it lol. She was one of a kind. I miss her so very much, I'm very thankful for the memories I have amd will always cherish them.

I am so sad hear of Meron’s passing. I ‘met’ Meron through mutual friends on flickr and later in person i Niagara Falls. I was so happy to see her when she visited NZ. Meron was a wonderful cook and a loving, thoughtful friend. The world is a little sadder without her in it. 

We've been friends for over 30 years of cats, books, backgammon, movie nights, long drives, and far-too infrequent Skype chats.
I am so lucky that technology allowed us to speak at length in the days leading up to your passing.

I got to know Meron through our mutual love of cats.  I was privileged to groom her beautiful Maine Coon cats and Miss Molly over the last several years.  Meron was a unique and wonderful person and I am so glad that we became friends.  She was outspoken and honest.  We could talk about anything and everything.  I will miss sharing your home cooking, a glass of wine and conversation.  Fly free my friend❤️

Meron was a special friend to our daughter Jackie and her husband Wayne and to us. She was certainly a very happy person always spreading her joy for life. Our hearts are broken but we know that she is among the angels in heaven. Sending our sincerest condolences to family and friends.

Dear Meron, 
We will miss your salty sense of humour and your quick wit!  I will miss our spirited, sometimes heated conversations that always ended with peels of laughter and a hug. Fly high now friend and be at peace. May the next leg of your journey be spectacular!

Meron, my sweet, lovely friend and great neighbor, I will truly miss you. You endured a lot and I hope you are in a happy place.

I met Meron in high school but it wasn’t until our early adult years that we started hanging out and became friends. I am going to miss our talks about our kitties, those Happy Birthday phone calls with her singing to me and her delicious shortbread.
Meron was a beautiful soul with an intelligent and witty personality...she was very unique and I am proud to have called her my friend.  I will miss her dearly but I know that she is finally free, watching over us all. Rest easy, dear friend. 

Meron you called me "mum" and Dave Uncle Dave. You always said I was your surrogate mum and along with Dave  Amanda and Ryan your surrogate family.
We will miss you and our holiday dinners together, happy birthday songs and your story telling adventures. You were one of the bravest who always put on a happy face. So now my sweet soar with the eagles. The flight to freedom has begun and the battle is done.

I was so saddened to hear of Meron's passing.  We had only just reconnected about a year and a half ago. I was not surprised to see that she had maintained a continuity of her character which I remembered from our early teen years in French Immersion. Her positivity, wry humour, intelligent curiousity and warm, friendly disposition will be remembered and missed by many. She even pieced together two parts of our '6 degrees of separation story', and my sincere condolences go out to the common branches of our respective friendship and family  trees...Scott Robertson and Andrew Lauzon.  My thoughts are with all of Meron's loved ones at this time, and may you feel the warmth of the peace and love I know she would blanket you with if she could.
