Michael David Pickering

PICKERING, Michael David - Passed away peacefully on December 12, 2019 at the age of 63 after a year and a half battle with pulmonary fibrosis (through which he never complained) with his family by his side at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. Devoted Husband of 38 years to Karen (nee Bell). Loving father of Brandi and Shawn (Jennifer). Cherished grandfather of Collin and Chelsea. He was a dedicated worker, having worked at Canada Post for over thirty years and Niagara Air Bus for over fifteen years.Mike was an avid gun enthusiast and will be remembered fondly by all of his friends at both the Decew and Hamilton gun clubs. As per Mike's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Family Tribute Shoot will take place at the Decew Gun Club (3042 Cataract Road, Fonthill) on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at 10:30 am. A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held at Chip and Charlie's (8189 Lundy's Lane, Niagara Falls) on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at 1 pm. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In honour of Mike's memory, donations made to the Niagara Health Foundation (IPF Rehab) would be appreciated by the family.
