Peacefully in his 74th year at GNGH on July 5th 2012 with his family by his side. Survived by his loving wife Mary, son Darren (Christine), daughter Michele, grandchildren Rachel, Dylan, Olivia and Michael. Sisters & brothers Marie, Maurice (Marie-Yvonne), Fleurette (Lucien), Normande, Pauline, Lorraine (Moise), John (Sheila), Gabriel (Brenda), sister-in-law Louise, and many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joseph & Anna-Marie, brothers Lucien (Aurore), Lionel, Benoit (Yvonne), Gilles (May), brother-in-laws Leo, Jean and Clarence. Ray was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and was an avid sportsman who enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida. The family will receive visitors at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Sunday July 8th from 2-4 and 7-9pm, vigil prayers beginning at 3:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Scapular, 6557 Thorold Stone Road, Niagara Falls on Monday July 9th at 11:00 am., with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Autism Ontario-Niagara.
