Reta Crole passed away peacefully with her sister Leala and niece Janice by her side at Douglas Memorial Hospital, Fort Erie on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 84 years of age. Loving wife of the late Patrick Crole. Missed by her sister Leala Smith and husband Tom. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Sadie Irwin, her sister Evelyn Moodie, her brother Harold Irwin, niece Linda Ruddell, and nephew John Moodie. Reta was a longtime employee of Gerber Foods retiring in 1990, a member of St. Andrew’s United Church, and the Coronation Centre. She was also an avid card player, bowler, and golfer.
Family and friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, on Sunday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 2 o’clock. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
