Richard 'Rick' Jean-Paul Vanier

VANIER, Richard 'Rick' Jean-Paul - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Monday June 4, 2018 at the age of 63.  Dearly loved father of Alexander Richard Vanier and brother of Michael Vanier and Louise (the late Ron) Husak.  Loving uncle of Jillian, Brett, Brock, Dawn and Craig.  Predeceased by his mother Marguerite (2016) and his brother Donald (2011).  Rick had worked as a slot attendant at the Niagara Casinos for over 20 years.  He had a true passion for his job and was honoured twice for his dedication and exceptional customer service.  He loved his co-workers and looked at them as his extended family, and he will be missed by all who knew him.  At Rick's request cremation has taken place.  Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  A Funeral Service in celebration of his life will be held on Friday at 1 pm at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  In memory of Rick, donations to The Lung Association would be appreciated by his family.  Online condolences at www.pattersonfuneralhome.com
