Sadly passed away at Millennium Trail Manor in Niagara Falls on April 1, 2025 at the age of 80.
Predeceased by her husband Joseph Grandoni (2000). Beloved mother to Matthew ( Laura Shapiro), Sarah (Matthew) Kyle, and much loved Nona to Ayden, Aliyana, Lake, Owen & Cole. Ruth is predeceased by her parents Mildred & Ewart Maidens & her siblings; Grant Maidens & Carol Mae Maidens.
Ruth grew up knowing the farming life, which made her transition to being a dairy farmer’s wife seamless.
She met Joe at Niagara Falls Curling Club where they fell in love and married. Her and Joe built a beautiful home next to his family farm where they raised Matthew and Sarah.
Ruth loved to volunteer her time to meals on wheels and was an avid member of her church. Her love of music was prevalent through her involvement in the Jay Singers and she loved to attend Shaw Festival plays.
Family & Friends will be received at Stamford Lane United Church, 3855 St. Peter Avenue, Niagara Falls on Wednesday April 9th from 4:00pm- 5:00pm, a funeral will follow in the church at 5:00pm.
