Susan Margaret Jones

JONES, Susan Margaret (nee Smeeton) - Passed away at her residence on Friday August 1, 2025 at the age of 76. Beloved mother of Mark (Sherry) Jones and the Late Simon Jones (2020) Melanie Potapczyk. Devoted and proud grandmother of Scarlett and Benjamin Jones. She will be deeply missed by her brother Derek (Anne) Smeeton and sister Noreen (Brian) Lindon. Susan was a women of immense strength, both is spirit and in will. Though life threw countless challenges her way, including a long and difficult battle with a variety of illnesses, she faced each one with quiet resilience and unwavering determination. She fought through each illness for the people she loved most, her grandchildren. They were her world, her joy and her reason for carrying on even through the darkest times. Originally from Manchester, England, she brought with her to Canada not only a suitcase but a sharp British wit and a sense of humour. She moved to the Niagara region in the early 1970s chasing a better life, and found a home here that she never left. She found comfort in the little things, she loved her puzzles, crosswords, her vegetable garden and most importantly having coffee with her support network of friends from her apartment building. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at Patterson Funeral home, 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Thursday August 7, 2025 from 6 pm to 8 pm, and Friday August 8, 2025 at 10:30 am to 11:30 am. A Funeral Service celebrating her life will be held at the funeral home on Friday August 8, 2025 at  11:30 am with an interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
